Rothbury Lineup

Bob Dylan is featured in this summer’s Rothbury lineup. I KNOW that will make Mr. Bandyke very happy. :-)

Also included are Willie Nelson and surviving members of the Grateful Dead, among others. Last year the festival reportedly brought in 40,000 people to a place in Michigan, I doubt, anyone had ever heard of before! [via WWJ]

No luck, nice weather, and good food.

So, I have been out of work for a little over a month now. I don’t like that feeling at all. To occupy some time, I have been spending three days a week volunteering at Detroit Public Radio. It’s nice being back there after a few years (I was an intern in years past)…seeing how things have changed, and how some things have stayed the same. So, the job search continues.

On a positive note, my newscast for WQKL picked up the merit award for market size two in Michigan from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. I wasn’t able to attend the ceremony, but I was certainly pleased with the outcome.

I am loving that the weather has been slowly improving lately. I am not much of a fan of winter anymore. I used to think people who complained about winter were old and cranky, and maybe that’s what I am now :-P. But, it has been fantatic out lately.

At the Detroit Zoo. The polar bear exhibit is fantastic.

The family went to the Detroit Zoo yesterday. I hadn’t been there in a few years and it was great. Today we went and took a nice walk at Metro Beach. Hopefully this warmer weather is here to stay!

While I have been out of work, I have been learning how to cook….something I never had an interest in before. It’s certainly a skill I am going to put to good use, because one can only eat so many frozen meals. Tonight we are going to try something new…not sure what it is yet, but I’ll give it my best shot!
